Nintendo’s plans had called for 4 million units to be available end of the calendar year and a total of six million shipped by the end of the company’s fiscal year on March 31st, 2007. The UBS report now speculates that the company may be able to deliver as many as eleven million units by the end of 2006.

FiringSquad: The game's central character sounds like he is an anti-hero of sorts. Was it hard to make him a person that the player wants to root for?

Cliff Bleszinski: Shiny, happy people are boring. No one likes them. Everyone wants to root for “the bad guy” so if you can make your main character tough but not too “good” you may achieve that right balance. Sure, Marcus has a deep voice, sure he wears heavy armor and is scarred up but right there in the opening cut-scene outside of Embry square you see that he’s not exactly thrilled with the shame he’s brought on himself and his family’s name.
